But usually I come of crazy and loud first, then I tone it down once I reaslize what I'm doing. But that calm lasts for maybe 5 seconds. I have a relatively extensive vocabulary. Rant: Schrödinger was my first cat-boy love! I was just reading Hellsing and had never considered the fact that I would love cat-boys, but then you showed up and I was like "Either marmalade is sinking into my eyes and messing with my brain or that boy has cat ears!" Once you go cat, you never go back, I always say. And then one guy was like "you like cat boys? thats weird." So I said "Psssshhh, your just a man with a hair cut and jeans." Personality: I am shy and anxious in general, and very paranoid in crowds/unfamiliar situations. I'm definitely one to sit on the sidelines and observe rather than risk humiliation through active participation. Sometimes, though, if I really want something badly I can convince myself to pursue it. I function best when given direct and very specific orders, as I can be a little bit slow and am very easily confused. I like to think I'm reasonably intelligent, though, and I enjoy helping people where I can - I am very friendly when approached kindly, and am subservient at best. Overall I'm not the boldest or the bravest and I'm afraid of almost everything, but when I stick myself to something I'm in it for the long run. -pantpant-
Rant: Aaah! I don't even know where to start. The Major is sort of short and fat but that's alright with me, since I'm short too. He's just the cutest, weirdest, most fantastic little megalomaniac there ever was! Plus he's German, and has a sexy accent and glasses and a fantastic grin that defies the laws of facial structure in humans! He is also confident enough in himself to accept death instead of vampirism. Just when I drifted from Hellsing, Herr Major reeled me back in, even though he goes against all of my superficial fandom rules.

Rant: Captain is awsome because he's the epitome of the strong silent types and despite being one of the bad guys, he shows that he has honor when he gives the med-pack to the gender confused Iscariot operative and refuses to fight them. And when he strips down to fight Seras? Rawr! Give me those washboard abs! I wanna bounce a quarter off of them. That man/wolf is ripped! Makes me wanna do a bit howling at the moon myself.

Personality: A little bit spacey, obsessive over the things she loves, uses onomatopoeia when performing an action, emotional, can think of a song for almost any occasion (even if she just made it up). A few loves include hugging, animals, singing, stories, piano, video games, and Tim Burton movies.
Rant: OMG OMG OMG IT’S RIIIIIIIIIIP! She’s the coolest Nazi ever to exist! I love her awesome springy curl, her shiny glasses and shark teeth, the way she twirls her gun, and how freaking awesomely she sings! Opera RULES! Also, she’s part of one of the COOLEST death scenes in anime history, she stands up to Alucard in Volume 5 and comes DAMN close to killing him, and did I forget to mention she looks like Yomiko Readman with shark teeth and freckles which is amazing and I never noticed that till now! I LURVE YOU RIPPAY!

Personality: If I’m asked to describe myself in one word, I always use ‘contradiction’. Well, that, or marmalade. Because I’m squishy and tasty and sweet (or is that jam? I never know the difference…). I personally think I’m very cute, but others tend to disagree. Oh, and I’m Dutch, and that’s pretty much self-explanatory as far as my personality goes. Cheese!
Rant: Rip, I love you, your hair, your musket and your taste in classical music! Der Freischütz is one of the most awesome Singspiele ever to be composed, and I was so happy when you started singing it! Please sing with me? Or for me, whatever suits you. You’re just so great and such an interesting character and I love your name because it’s Dutch originally and I’m Dutch too and I just adore you. You’ve got such a wonderful singing voice, and those glasses really suit you.

Personality: Calm for the most part, I suppose. A bit given to self-deprecation or general sarcasm, but mostly I just watch and listen and don't speak up much unless I'm invited to do so or really have something I want to say.
Rant: Rip doesn’t get enough coverage in the canon series. Other than appearing in the background a couple times she doesn’t really do anything until the capture of the Eagle. She wiped out the crew majority solo with two or three bullets. Plus she uses an anachronistic single-shot musket which that makes it cooler. Sucks how she only had the one major part. While she usually dresses in a suit, she pulls off a kind of mature ‘cute’ which I like contrasted to Integra’s ‘commanding’. Also: long dark hair. The Nazi thing I could do without (me being Jewish) but otherwise…

Rant: Rip Van is made of awesome. For starters, she doesn't believe in the conformity of the uniform; no, she wears a suit, with a tinge of playful purple in the black and carries a parasol. Also, her hair, which is freaking magnificent, is left loose. Rip is quite aware she's a girl, which is awesome. She even wears a pink shirt under that suit! And her taste in music! Freischutz was my favorite opera, even before Hellsing, and the fact that she not only knew it but had it memorized cemented her in my head as the best lady EVER.

Personality: I suppose I'm something of a cultural snob and love the ballet and some opera. Apart from that I'm quite bookish and like to look up all the details about something I'm interested in (e.g. I've read Der Freischutz in the original, solely due to Hellsing), and love knowing weird and abtruse facts.
Rant: She's brilliant and shiny and has that murderous ruthless cool and has one of the neatest abilities in all of Hellsing that's self-contained and minimalist, so she can be all crazy and insane and actually make Wagnerian music sound good and is quite cute and sexy in her own way, even if she does have a chest like an ironing board which makes a nice change...

Personality: I'm a quiet person, not because I am shy, just because I prefer thinking and listening to talking. As far as "fangirling" is concerned, I view it more as extreme respect for a character rather than the rabid devotion I had witnessed at various conventions.
Rant: Rip Van Winkle is quite adorable, especially her freckles, and this is the second most powerful tool in her arsenal, next to her magic bullets, of course. When Rip appears, she has the ability to create warm and fuzzy feelings in all those around her. Rip is perfectly cute. She has the freckles; she has the glasses; she even has the world’s most fantastic hair loop (which I may fangirl more). Even that which she carries fit this description, from her umbrella to her clock. It is almost as though she was scientifically created to be a beacon for hugs.
