At this point some of you are thinking, "Wait a second, who's the kid? I mean, he's a bit of a bishōnen, which is all well and good, but what about Walter?"
And the rest of you are shooting patronizing smiles at the "some of you", nodding approvingly, recognizing Erin's clever and appealing choice of layout, and considering showing your appreciation with large sums of cash. Really? You're not? Ah well.
The point is that this handsome young man in the background is Walter C. Dornez - the very same Walter we all know and love.
As he stars in Hellsing, Walter is 67 years old. His position has been revised from one of Hellsing's most deadly soldiers to family retainer and, in effect, butler. His stunning finesse with a set of steel monowires that can slice through almost anything (and bear an uncanny resemblance to dental floss) is almost never called upon. Instead he serves Integra with his organizational skills, quiet moral support, total devotion, and unmatched ability to make a mean cup of tea.
Walter often takes what looks like a background role. Don't let his "pay no attention to the man behind the monocle!" attitude fool you. He's one of Hellsing's most essential members.
