On June 9, 2006, just as a tangled troop of time travelers from three separate secret societies—the Hellsing Organization, the Vatican's Section XIII, and the British Library—were stumbling back to the Hellsing mansion, another round of fangirls came flying in.
 This was the first time that not all applications were accepted: approximately one in three made it into the storyline, based on a combination of how interesting they were and whether they followed all the rules. One of these was "include the word 'wombat' somewhere in your app"—thus, these are "the wombat round" of fans.
This storyline featured the debut of yet another method for dispatching fangirls, revealed by Nenene Sumiregawa, whose own international fan base makes her a frequent target. As a result, the wombat fans were sent away clinging happily to autographs. |
