Attack of the Fangirls' Profiles

Long, long ago - around March 2003 - I, Erin, drew a badly drawn little comic strip featuring my new favorite anime character, Sir Integral Wingates Hellsing, being accosted by what was essentially a miniaturized version of myself (without the headband).  Little did I know that the stage was then set for events which I would later write eloquent and somewhat pointless reminiscences about.

The point is that, since I'd also recently discovered webcomics and by extension ComicGenesis (then Keenspace), I ended up putting the little storyline on the web.  By then I'd had several more ideas for storylines, and they showed no signs of slowing up.  So the world was introduced to this concept of "fangirls" through these four generic little figures.

At least, the auburn-haired Seras fangirl was completely generic (the blonde Integra fangirl is obviously based on me).  The blonde Walter fanboy certainly took some influence from my friend Matt (who actually starred as himself in the second fangirl storyline), and the Alucard fangirl is another friend of mine, Maddie.  At this point I made up the designs, picked the colors, and wrote the rants based on my own love for all of the characters (though especially for Integra).

I always knew the fangirls would come back some day.  I just didn't know how big their return would be . . .

Disclaimer: Hellsing isn't mine - it's copyright by Kohta Hirano, Gonzo animation, Geneon Entertainment, and probably some other groups I've missed.  So please don't sue me.
